Special Academic Events

WHS includes several academic events into the curriculum to give the students experience in public speaking, knowledge of different cultures and areas of study. The Special Academic Events include:

World Cultures Day

Students can dress in their native costume or clothes from a country of their choice and bring in an ethnic dish to share from that country. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to try foods that may be new to them and experience other world cultures.



Elementary students show off their display boards for the country of their choice. They give a short description of the country and share an ethnic food from that country with their classmates.
