WHS has started an SAT Prep class for high school students during the school day. The SAT has eleven practice tests online for students to become more proficient in taking this exam. There are designated computers in the classroom for the students that have the necessary software to access the SAT program.
The students will take the first part of the exam on day one, the second part on day two and submit the test they have completed. On day three they will correct their errors that have been noted by the SAT program.
The SAT or ACT tests are a very important part of preparing for college. Many colleges use these exams in their selection process. These exams are also a determinate factor in receiving the Bright Futures Scholarship that pays the college tuition for four years.
Students can also use their home computers to practice but many but many are so scheduled with outside activities that it makes it quite difficult to find the time. Creating a class for the students in school should help them improve their scores.
